Welcome to the premiere of “Røynda is Radical” at 3pm, Sunday 14th of December at Kunsthall Oslo.
Røynda is Radical is an experimental short film presented as part of the solo exhibition Reality is Radical. The film examines ideological illusions, betrayal and unfulfilled promises, both in society and in personal relationships, and asks what remains when the idea of change no longer holds. Through text, image, movement and stillness, the film follows a state of unease, a cycle in which motion continues but change remains elusive.
The film draws its material from Margaret Abeshu Leversby’s ongoing artistic practice, and the script was developed through conversations between Margaret and Magdalene Solli. The project seeks to give these reflections a body and a rhythm through a combination of text, clothing, location and cinematic form.
Røynda is Radical is initiated by Margaret Abeshu Leversby, with contributions from
Magdalene Solli, Adrian Abeshu Leversby, Heiða Karine Jóhannesdóttir Mobeck and Dag Vidar Hopøy.
