Access to aesthetics and creative expressions are basic needs. For teenagers and young adults, expressing themselves creatively on their own terms is especially important. Nevertheless, there is very little focus on creative subjects both in school and in leisure time. Whose responsibility is this and how are we to reach young people on their own terms?
We present experiences from three youth projects: The illustration workshop by Byverkstedet and Oslo Open, Oslo Art and Knowledge Workshop by Kunsthall Oslo and Blikkåpnerne, presented by Kunstnernes Hus.
The presentations are followed by a panel conversation between Marit Silsand (PRAKSIS Teen Advisory Board), Trond Hugo Haugen (Oslo Open), Annicken Dedekam Råge (PLNTY), Christian Slaaen (FUBIAK), and moderator Miriam Haile (Agenda X).
How do projects aimed at a young audience affect the art institutions and the cultural field in the long term?
The seminar is in Norwegian.
Hosted by Kunsthall Oslo, Byverkstedet, Oslo Open and Kunstnernes Hus.
