Welcome to the Tax Haven is an artwork in the form of a guided walk through Oslo led by the artists Hanan Benammar and Alessandro Marchi. The walk follows a route from Tjuvholmen to Sørenga, via Aker Brygge and Bjørvika, looking at the ownership networks and links to offshore money and tax evasion that surround these new developments. According to reliable sources, in these areas there are at least 500 properties owned by Norwegian citizens who do not pay taxes in Norway. The artists will focus on specific buildings along the route, and invited guests from various fields will share their knowledge and contribute to our understanding of these areas.
Guest contributors include:
Tor Dølvik (Transparency International Norway)
Sigrid Klæboe Jacobsen (Tax Justice Network)
Peter Henriksen Ringstad (Tax Justice Network)
Marie Storli (Rethinking Economics)
Will Bradley (Kunsthall Oslo)
