Posters for Palestine continues an Italian initiative where artists, designers, and illustrators create posters to support Gaza. The posters will be launched with a sales exhibition during the Masahat Festival on September 18th at Kunsthall Oslo. All proceeds will go directly to the Palestinian art and culture organization, Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center. The project is a solidarity action with the Palestinian people. Participants: Samia Halaby, Adel Tawil, Vanessa Baird, Mari Kanstad Johnsen, Kim Hiorthøy, Christa Barlinn Korvald, Christopher Nielsen, Marie Payan, Espen Friberg, Martin Lundell, and Anders Kvammen.
During the exhibition the book «Tunga mi protesterer mot døden» will be launched. The anthology, edited by Bendik Vada and Anna Kleiva, contains poems written by Palestinian poets living in Palestine and the diaspora, including Noor Hindi, Marwan Makhoul, Ghassan Zaqtan, Maya Abu al-Hayat, Najwan Darwish, Samer Abou Hawash, Samih al-Qassem, Anis Ghuneimah, Zakaria Mohammed, Fady Joudah, Hiba Abu Nada, Refaat al-Areer, Yahya Ashour, Hind Jouda, Mahmud Darwish, Ghayath al-Madhoun, Susan Abou Al-Hawa, Hala Alyan, Rasha Abdulhadi, Suheir Hammad, Lena Tuffaha, Mosab Abu Toha, Wesam Al-Madani and Soumaya al-Sousi.
The book is published by Forlaget Oktober.
